Top London Recommendations

London is one of my favorite cities in the world. Here are a few of my top recommendations:

Absolutely love the Ampersand Hotel. It’s a convenient (right by the South Kensington tube) and stylish place to rest up. I’ve stayed here multiple times and have always had a great experience. Rooms are super quiet as well, which I find critical for shaking off jet lag.

Don’t miss Liberty of London. I am in love with the cotton lawn (ultra thin) fabric with the very best in colorful textile design but also the entire department store is stocked with amazing designs. I like to stalk the back rooms for sale items. Also be sure to visit their tax rebate department so you can claim your VAT refund at the airport.

I’ve traveled the world around and truly believe the London tube is the easiest to navigate. Save your money for shoes and take the subway instead of cabs!

Tea at the Orangery is a wonderful way to treat yourself in the afternoon. Delicate sandwiches and perfect tea in only the way Brits can make it, is worth working into your schedule. The building is located in Kensington Gardens. From November to February it’s open 10-4 and in the summer it’s open until 6:00. You can book your table here. They will accommodate vegan and gluten-free diets as well.
